Your Story

My strengths are Mental Maths, Science, Perspective Drawing, Cricket, Chess, Blogging& Debate.

I have won Gold Medals in International General Knowledge Olympiad and International English Olympiad (IEO) with international rankings.

To date, I have won several debates (Model United Nations) as the best delegate. MUN promotes a keen understanding of world affairs and appreciates the differing views and knowledge that the world is a complex, changing place. My journey with MUN started in Grade 5.

I have been a blogger on social issues. As a keen blogger, words are the thread that ties me to the people and events around me. They have been my comfort, refuge, outlet, and joy.

At the age of 8, I supported the cause "Stopping the Railway Deaths" on my YouTube channel. I continue supporting the cause.

I believe, "Every child deserves a champion- an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insist that they become the best that they can be." I found a champion in my life. It is now my turn to give back to society.

Thru my participation in Round Square®, I hope to make a difference in underprivileged peoples' lives. This platform contributes to the experiences of others. Thereby I can contribute to the social fabric. I like to experience different cultures and excel in social service opportunities to join the broader community.

So far, I have taken advantage of diverse opportunities, passionately thrown myself into any new challenges, met many similarly motivated, interesting people, and continue to have an insatiable curiosity and a desire to delve deeper down in the recesses of my intellect. Economics, Finance and Political Science interest me the most. I equally feel passionate about the new energy sources as I feel closely for mother earth. Statistics have proved that "More people die from air pollution than Malaria and HIV/AIDS.

My Paintings found their place at a virtual exhibition hosted by Finolex Pipes, "KhulaAsmaan." I play the Guitar. Music and Painting have helped me keep my mental health in check during Covid 19 and brought me to understand the pain related to mental health issues. It convinced me that mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of; fortunately, neither is talking about it.

My goal is to develop an environment that breaks the stigma around mental health. "It's okay, not to be okay" we feel and understand the sense of emptiness and anxiety some of our friends have gone thru but found it difficult to acknowledge.

Because of the rise in mental illness and lack of awareness, I teamed up with Fia and Aliya to launch our mental health project. We aim to create a safe space for people who cannot speak and fight for themselves. 💙

Be genuinely happy, enjoy life and keep your mind at peace ✨💕

As a fourteen-year-old girl living in Mumbai, if I were to describe myself, I would say I have a creative mind; Math is my forte, and I am passionate about Sports. Over the years, I have participated in various Taekwondo competitions, Skating competitions, and Soccer tournaments.

While my primary sport would be Taekwondo, I enjoy playing Football too. I believe that sports teaches children to become mentally and emotionally more robust and to have a personality of a person who will never give up, no matter the challenges. In addition, it builds a strong sense of discipline and curiosity.

To my credit, I have won several accolades at various national and international levels, right from Speed skating to Taekwondo, from a very early age. In addition, I have also bagged merit ranking for different competitive exams held in various subjects.

I was recently honored as a gifted student per the John Hopkins SCAT Exam. During Covid I seriously thought about mental health—the growing problem in these times. My curious mind got to research almost immediately, trying to find ways to help teenagers around me.

Since the beginning of the Lockdown, mental health concerns have become more prevalent, exacerbating the situation. My goal is to develop an environment that breaks the stigma around mental health.

In the future, I want to specialize in psychology or law.Over the years, my research has helped me get a deeper grasp of the human brain and its effects on the human body and mode of living. Because of the rise in mental illness and lack of awareness, I teamed up with two friends, Aliya and Agastyaa, to launch our project: www.mindovermatters.help

“Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone”. Lisa Olivera

I am a thirteen year old girl living in Mumbai. If I had to describe myself, I would say I have a curious mind, with a love for science and a passion to spin words into stories. Over the years, I have kept up with my love for writing by authoring books and taking part in writing competitions. Asides from the English Language, I have been learning French and Mandarin since the age of three, and it has taught me how to understand, communicate and appreciate the diversity of cultures around the world. Apart from which, I care deeply for the planet and the organisms it inhabits.

The brain is the control center of the body, just as the nucleus for the cell. When the brain is affected, the body suffers as well. Mental health issues have increased since the beginning of the Lockdown, intensifying the problem, and my vision is to create a youth- powered, non-profit encouraging conversation to educate and break the stigma surrounding mental health. I aim to specialise in this medical field in the future. My courses with the CTY (Center for Talented Youth) program at John Hopkins over the years have helped me gain a better understanding of the human mind and it’s impacts on the human body and way of life. The increase in mental illness and the lack of awareness thereof inspired me to come together along with my friends, Fia and Agastyaa, to start our own initiative; www.mindovermatters.help.

Change doesn’t necessarily need to be large and global, even a small gesture that has creates an impact is powerful
